How This Started

We used to do "donuts and math at the park" events in Palo Alto, CA. We had people driving in, even from 30 miles away...
to do math at the park!

People would come with their middle school and high school children and we would help them with math. We had donuts, salads, candy, watermelon and overall picnic vibes.

What I realized is that:
1. most people really enjoy working with me
2. children benefit from my help
3. if someone wants ongoing math tutoring, it's a great, no-pressure way for them to see if they like our approach, and if their teen would enjoy it.

But that was at the park, at noon in Palo Alto, on Saturdays - not available to people from farther away, not an ideal timing.

Now, we are doing the same engaging, conversational math progress meetings, but 1-on-1...
